Driver Fitting
The one club you hit from the tee on most holes, matched to the swing you actually have.
A Driver Fitting takes an hour and a half. Your fitter isolates one variable at a time — shaft first, then head, then loft and length — so you can see what each change does on the screen rather than take it on feel. You leave with a build sheet listing the exact spec.

One club, taken apart properly
A driver is four decisions, not one. Here is what your fitter works through and what each part changes off the tee.
Shaft
Weight, flex, profile
What we measure
Ball speed, spin, launch, dispersion
Speed you are already producing, delivered to the ball.
Head
Model, loft, face angle
What we measure
Carry, spin, launch, forgiveness
A ball flight that holds its line in wind.
Fine specs
Length, lie, swingweight, grip
What we measure
Strike pattern, contact
Center contact more often, without changing your swing.
Fitting the driver alone leaves the rest of the bag gapped to a club that has changed. If that worries you, a Full Bag covers everything as a set.
21yards gained off the tee, on average, in the Golf Digest study (2013)
Averages are averages, and these come from a study rather than a promise. Here is what golfers say about their own fittings.
✓ Perfect Fit Guarantee
The tools that make it measurable
Three systems cover the whole bag and the decisions behind it, and all of them are in every Club Champion studio.

Trackman
The radar the PGA measures on, built on the same tracking technology used for military projectiles. It reads ball speed, spin, launch and club delivery on every swing, so a shaft or head change shows up as a number instead of a feeling.
Used for woods, irons and wedges

SAM PuttLab
Ultrasound analysis that reads 28 parameters of your putting stroke in seconds. It sets your putter’s length, loft, lie and toe hang against how you actually roll the ball, not how you think you do.
Used for the putter
AI Fitter Co-Pilot
More than 65,000 head and shaft combinations exist across the brands we carry. Our fitting software reads your session data live and narrows that field to the handful your numbers actually support, so your fitter spends the session testing rather than searching.
Used across every fitting

Each piece is sourced separately, weight-sorted and assembled to tight tolerances by a Master Builder, then checked back against your build sheet. Change one and the numbers change.
How a Driver Fitting runs
Ninety minutes on one club. Nothing changes until the data says it should.
What gets tested, in order

Talk through your game
Your goals, your miss off the tee, and what you are playing now.
What you walk out with
Every spec written down, and a build that matches it.
Your build sheet
The session ends with a build sheet listing the exact specs for every club it covered: head, shaft, length, lie, loft, swingweight and grip. Alongside it sits an itemized recommendation showing what each piece costs.
Nothing is bundled and nothing is withheld. The sheet is yours to keep whether you order that day or not.
No spiffs, no house brand
Your fitter is paid the same whatever you buy. There is no incentive to steer you toward one manufacturer, so the recommendation on your sheet is the one your numbers produced.
Built by Master Builders
Your order goes to a build shop, not an assembly line. Master Builders assemble each club to the specs on your sheet, and we email you as it moves.
SST PUREing
No shaft is perfectly consistent around its axis. SST PUREing finds each shaft’s most stable orientation and aligns it that way in the build.
What it costs, and what that buys
You pay for the fitting once. The clubs it produces carry lifetime loft, lie and length adjustments, and the Perfect Fit Guarantee sits behind the build.
A lower fee with a custom club purchase.
A Driver Fitting costs $175 and takes about 1.5 hours. With a custom club purchase, the fee is $50.
Buy custom clubs during your visit and fittings become $100 for a full bag, $50 for anything else.
P.A.R. members get one complimentary fitting a year (not valid on Full Bag).

Driver Fitting questions, answered
What golfers ask most before booking a driver session.
What happens in a driver fitting?
A driver fitting follows Club Champion’s core fitting process: a conversation about your game and goals, a warm-up, baseline data from your current driver, then shaft testing (length, weight, bend profile) followed by club head matching — all guided by your Master Fitter and the AI Fitter Co-Pilot across 65,000+ combinations. You leave with your full specifications and no obligation to purchase.
Is a driver fitting worth it?
Yes — a driver fitting is built to find more fairways, more distance, and more consistency off the tee, using real swing data rather than guesswork.
How much distance can a driver fitting add to my drives?
On average, golfers gain 21 yards off the tee from a Club Champion driver fitting, which also typically shortens the approach shot into the green. Individual results vary by golfer.
Golf Digest Independent Study: 2013.
What is the best driver loft for me?
There’s no universal best loft — it depends on your unique swing components, which your Master Fitter identifies during your fitting to dial in longer, straighter drives.
Does driver shaft flex matter?
Yes — shaft flex interacts with your swing tempo and club head speed, not swing speed alone as commonly assumed. Because the real driver of good flex is maximizing energy transfer (smash factor), a fitting is the only reliable way to find your correct flex.
Should I prioritize distance or accuracy in a driver fitting?
That depends on your individual goals — a fitting can optimize for either or both, using your TrackMan data to show the tradeoffs specific to your swing.
How often should I replace my driver?
There’s no fixed timeline — it depends on whether new technology or a fitting shows measurable gains over your current driver, which a fitting session can confirm before you invest.
What driver shaft weight is right for me?
Shaft weight is generally tied to your swing tempo and swing speed, but smash factor, dispersion, and spin rate all factor in too — a Club Champion fitting tests these variables together with TrackMan Optimizer to find your ideal weight.
How does attack angle affect driver performance?
Attack angle — how the clubface meets the ball vertically — directly affects effective loft, launch angle, and spin rate, and it’s unique to your swing. Your fitting uses this measurement, along with other variables, to select the right driver components for you.
Does driver shaft length affect accuracy?
Yes, generally — longer clubs allow more swing-to-swing variation, which tends to reduce accuracy.
